About Liberty & Courage
Liberty & Courage is an idea that formed after a 23 year battle with suicide - age 15 to age 38. It was fueled by an alarming absence of helpers and anyone that cared. Knowing that I overcame a commonly insurmountable struggle, I knew it was important to come up with a way to help others - to be someone who could listen, support, and guide people to hope and relief.

Liberty & Courage is here to help the everyday man and woman who is struggling. The struggles could be physical, financial, emotional, or spiritual. You may feel lost. You may feel unwanted or unloved. If that’s true, you’ve come to the right place.

We all need someone to talk to and someone to lend a helping hand. We need someone who will not judge us or castigate us. We need understanding. We need wisdom and guidance to overcome our struggles.

Liberty & Courage provides a new community where we can all support each other. We can share our confusion, our hopelessness, and know we are not alone. This is different than Facebook and X.com.  We aim to eliminate the drama and maintain a welcoming atmosphere to comfort our mind and not damage it further.

Mission Statement
Liberty & Courage was created with multiple missions in mind:

  1. Break the bonds and curses that imprison us and poison our minds
  2. Provide a place for the lonely and hopeless to come
  3. Revitalize people with a new feeling of community and hope for all
  4. Guide, encourage, motivate, and instill discipline in men and women who desperately desire it
  5. Provide counseling and suicide support for the people who suffer the deep, dark battle within, by providing a path to permanent healing
  6. Provide a community that...
    • contains like-minded, purpose-driven, individuals who want to expand their social circles and interact with people that truly care about them
    • has a section for Veterans only, where you can discuss things only you truly understand
    • has ZERO data mining or selling that takes place
    • has ZERO paid advertisements
It is together, as a community, that we can help reshape our minds, bodies, and souls. We can improve our family's lives, be better co-workers, be better employers, and help to reform our nation through a renewed spirit.

We rely on you and your involvement in this community. Only with your help we can reshape America and then reshape the world.

Christian Journey
I grew up Catholic and we didn’t go to Sunday Mass very often. My parents didn’t pressure us since they had negative experiences with the Catholic church leadership in our area - demanding money and being emotionally abusive and overbearing.

I saw Christianity as foolish and weak. The people who called themselves “Christian” were frail and pathetic examples of men. That was my opinion until the age of 19 when I met a tough guy named Mike. Mike was a very experienced kickboxer, boxer, and martial artist who had 5% body fat, big muscles, and a jaw that could cut glass.  He also embodied the Christ first attitude where we live for Christ’s approval and not for man’s. That’s when I realized there might just be another side to this “Christianity business."

Mike is the one who led and guided me to my salvation in Jesus Christ. That was around the age of 20. I had many ups and downs throughout, but that was the beginning of my “self awareness journey” where I would slowly become aware of all my shortcomings and be offered ways to transform into something better. That “journey”, however, was no walk in the park.
My name is Ryan and I’m 40 years old.
Why Liberty & Courage?
In addition to what was mentioned above, I created this organization, and member community, because I know what deep, mind-numbing pain is and how it can destroy you. How it can lead you so close to the edge or even push you over.

All my experiences in this realm, my keen ability to listen, understand, and discern, and my thirst for knowledge and desire for excellence, are the tools required to help people conquer this.

This is my opportunity to act. All the mercy bestowed upon me: the grace, and the unconditional love and acceptance by Jesus Christ requires that I make every effort to help others.

"Courage is the primary armament in the war for liberty."
